Cavaliers Fans Make History During Game By Wearing Snuggies Cavaliers fans put themselves in the record books on Friday night.

According to The Associated Press, more than 20,000 Cleveland fans set a new world record by wearing Snuggies during Friday's Cavaliers-Pistons game at the Quicken Loans Arena.

All fans in attendance received a Snuggie prior to the contest. During a timeout in the first quarter, fans were asked to wear the wine-colored blankets with arms for five minutes as a clock on the scoreboard counted down, cheering as the world record clock expired.

A Guinness World Record official was in attendance to make the new world record official. Danny Girton Jr. confirmed the Guiness records management team opened a new category for the event since there was no existing record.

In addition, Cavaliers players, including 6-foot-8 LeBron James and 7-foot-1 Shaquille O'Neal, received Snuggies of their own.
