Greg Biffle to Donate Portion of Winnings From Sprint All-Star Race to Animal Sanctuary

Greg Biffle is doing his part to save the animals.

The Roush Fenway driver is helping the Iredell County Friends of the Animals organization achieve its goal of building a state-of-the-art animal sanctuary by donating a portion of his winnings from the Sprint All-Star Race to the cause. However, because Biffle needs to be voted in or finish in the top two in the Sprint Showdown to partake in the All-Star race, it is imperative that fans take the time to vote early and often over the next 10 days.

Fans may vote using the NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile application, which allows them unlimited votes, or they can visit www.NASCAR.com/allstar, where they may vote once per hour. Fans can also vote at the Sprint Experience, located in the midway at every Cup Series event.

Voting will continue until one hour prior to the start of the Sprint All-Star Race on Saturday, May 22.

Every wireless vote submitted from a Sprint or Nextel device counts double in the driver standings.

The animal sanctuary will include an adoption and education center with a spay/neuter clinic in Mooresville, N.C.

"I didn’t really want to campaign to get voted into the All-Star race because I feel like we should race our way in, but the idea was presented to me to make this donation to the Friends of the Animals, and I couldn’t say no," Biffle said. "The animal sanctuary we are working to build is a project my wife, Nicole, and I really believe in because we believe it will increase adoptions and spay/neuters for animals."

The sanctuary will house 60 cats and 90 dogs, which will be available for adoption.
