Two of the sport's biggest names could be blowing into the Windy City this offseason, reports the Chicago Tribune.
According to league sources, NBA power broker William Wesley is working out a package deal that includes current Kentucky head coach John Calipari and the 2009-10 NBA MVP LeBron James to such franchises as the Bulls, Nets and Clippers.
The Bulls may be the likely destination for King James, as the game's most dominant figure would want nothing more than a chance at a title as the heir to Michael Jordan's empty throne.
Chicago cut ties with skipper Vinny Del Negro earlier this month and the town is itching for that hoops excitement that dominated Chi-town in the 1990s, and has budding superstar Derrick Rose to lure James in as a right-hand man.
Think the fans in Chicago are excited at the prospect of James coming to town? In the 24 hours after James and Cavs were eliminated from the postseason, the Bulls ticket office sold more than 500 season-ticket packages.
