Trevor Hoffman Becomes First 600-Save Closer in Major League History

Trevor Hoffman has finally reached the magical number of 600.

The man who's closed out more games than anyone else in major league history added to his total on Tuesday night by racking up save No. 600.

Hoffman picked up the save in the Milwaukee Brewers' 4-2 defeat of the St. Louis Cardinals.

The 42-year-old reliever got Cardinals pinch-hitter Aaron Miles to ground out to shortstop to collect the milestone as the Brewers poured onto the field to mob Hoffman.
