Adam "Pacman" Jones just can't stay out of trouble — even when he's not in trouble.
The Bengals cornerback was detained and handcuffed by police after the team's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Police stopped and questioned Jones after a traffic incident, and according to Jones' agent, Thomas Hunter, police then handcuffed Jones in a case of mistaken identity with another Adam Jones, for whom police found an outstanding warrant.
The car Jones was driving was forced off the road and onto the sidewalk by another car. As a result, Jones apparently hit a pedestrian, according to cincinnati.247.sports.com.
Cops took Jones away in cuffs and kept him detained for another 45 minutes before realizing the error and releasing him.
"It was a stupid thing that deprived him of his liberty and embarrassed him and humiliated him in front of everybody," Hunter told PFT. "Everybody saw him being arrested."
