Lost in the flurry of news surrounding the Randy Moss trade was that the Patriots gave up more than just Moss to secure a third-round pick from the Vikings.
The Patriots also included a 2012 seventh-round selection in the deal for Moss.

Some diamonds in the rough do surface in the seventh round. Here’s a look at some of the impact players that Bill Belichick has drafted for the Patriots in the seventh round:
2000: Patrick Pass
2002: David Givens
2003: Tully Banta-Cain
2005: Matt Cassel
2009: Julian Edelman
