Report: Omaha Nighthawks Sign Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Michael Clayton

The Omaha Nighthawks are quarterbacked by former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Jeff Garcia. They are coached by Jeff Jagozdzinki, a man who was the Bucs' offensive coordinator for about a minute. Former Buc Cato June anchors the Nighthawks defense.

Now, the team will add to its comprehensive roster of ex-Buccaneers, as they signed former Tampa receiver Michael Clayton on Sunday, according to The Tampa Tribune.

Clayton was released by the team prior to the 2010 season just two years after signing a five year, $26 million contract with the team.

The former 15th overall pick had over 1100 yards receiving during his 2004 rookie campaign, but has only amassed a career total of 2936 yards.

With the emergence of Arrelious Benn and Mike Williams, Clayton became expendable on the Bucs roster, but he has now found a home with many of his ex teammates in Omaha.

The Nighthawks are 3-1 thus far this season.
