Sure, the Patriots are losing one of best receivers of all time, quarterback Tom Brady is losing a top target and opposing teams who once doubled up on Moss will now be focusing on others in New England’s offense. But despite all those negative correlations with Moss’ trade to Minnesota, there are plenty of positives.
New England fans already have warmed to the idea of a Moss-less Patriots roster, especially with a recent addition of an old friend. Yes, the Patriots are looking at a new era — and the fact that it’s happening midseason makes it all the more fun.
With all the madness that ensued during a Patriots bye week (which felt like it lasted for 10 years rather than just two weeks), we’ll continue to look forward at the new Patriots team and what it can accomplish without Randy Moss.
