Last season, fewer than four points separated the top five NBA scorers.
Kevin Durant (30.2), LeBron James (29.7), Carmelo Anthony (29.2), Kobe Bryant (27.0) and Dwyane Wade (26.6) finished as the league’s five most lethal scorers a year ago.
This year, once again, Durant’s leading the charge with a cool 28.0 points per game.
Through the first five weeks of the 2010-11 season, Heat teammates James and Wade are out of the top five while Monta Ellis and Derrick Rose are in. Once the Heat catch fire, assume one (or both) of these All-Stars will find their way back into contention for the scoring title.
