Kobe Bryant’s Turkish Airlines Endorsement Deal Has Armenian Population Crying Foul

Apparently, Kobe Bryant didn't completely think about his latest endorsement deal.

CNN reports that the Lakers forward, who recently inked a new endorsement deal with Turkish Airlines, is feeling the backlash from Los Angeles' Armenian community, the largest gathering of Armenians outside of Armenia.

Armenians have long felt ill-will toward the Turks, as they claim Turkey was inolved in genocide against Armenians in 1915 at the end of the Ottoman Empire.

For that reason, Bryant's new two-year deal has irked Armenians all over the map. Roughly 30 protesters demonstrated outside of the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Sunday, the site of the Lakers' game with the Raptors.

The Armenian Youth Federation even went as far as to say that Bryant is now the "Face of Oppression and Justice," and also called the deal part of Bryant's "Direct Flight to Inhumanity."
