Under Danny Ainge, the C's have tended to be relatively quiet, but when Ainge does feel the need to make a move, he does so. Just last season, Ainge tried to add backcourt depth when he shipped Eddie House, J.R. Giddens and Bill Walker to New York in a deal that brought Nate Robinson to Boston.
This season, the Celtics may be looking for more help in the backcourt. Point guard Rajon Rondo continues to dazzle, but he has battled injuries early in the season, and the C's have shown they can always use another point guard.
Meanwhile, Ray Allen continues his assault on the record books, though it's worth keeping an eye on his status. While he's in incredible shape, Allen has been known to hit a wall with his jump shot as the season progresses. Perhaps bringing in another shooting guard — one who is an established scorer — could be in store.
There's also the frontcourt issue. The Celtics have suffered a myriad of injuries to big men whether it be Kevin Garnett, Jermaine O'Neal or Shaquille O'Neal. All three have missed time to injury. Kendrick Perkins should return soon, but the Celtics could always use the rebounding help.
