Delonte West Moves Forward in Recovery, Participates in Shootaround and Skeleton Practice With Celtics

The progress continues for Delonte West, as the Celtics' point guard took another step toward recovery on Thursday.

The Celtics' point guard worked out with the team at their practice facility in Waltham, participating in a shootaround and skeleton practice, WEEI.com reports. Though it was a significant step in West's return from a broken right wrist, Celtics head coach Doc Rivers was quick to point out that he wasn't at full strength just yet.

"He didn't practice," Rivers said. "He just did the shootaround and the shooting and that's about it."

He may not be at full strength, but West's participation in the catch-and-shooting drills was a positive sign that he can do more than just support the basketball with his right hand.

"That's nice," Rivers said. "He did run through all of our skeleton stuff so obviously, the next step will be him going through a practice."

There is still no timetable for West's return, but the point guard has been eyeing a mid- to late February comeback.
