You don't have to be a millionaire to live in the former home of an MLB star.
Red Sox reliever Bobby Jenks recently put his Chicago home on the market for $899,000. The four-bedroom house is located in Hinsdale, Ill., just 30 minutes outside of Chicago, businessinsider.com reports.
The reliever will be living in Boston during the season, but he makes his permanent home in Arizona. The former White Sox closer purchased a six-bedroom home in Mesa last summer for $2.05 million. Jenks and his family lived year-round in Chicago since 2006, but he said he wants to raise his four children in Arizona.
"I did like it in Chicago," Jenks told the Chicago Tribune in February. "It was a good place for me and my family. The people there were always respectful. I lived there year-round for six years. We just figured Arizona was where we wanted to raise our kids."
Jenks isn't the only former White Sox selling in the Hinsdale area. Fellow reliever Scott Linebrink — who was traded to the Braves in December — recently put his 11-room house on the market as well. To see photos of Jenks' former digs, check out the photo gallery link below.
