Quarterbacks get a lot of credit, and they deserve it — both in victory and defeat. If the NFL blew up its rosters and held a 32-team fantasy draft, there’s a really good chance that the first dozen picks would be quarterbacks, because they play the most important position in football and maybe all of sports.
But let’s get beyond that and remove the quarterbacks from the equation. If the NFL held a league-wide fantasy draft this weekend, who would go where? Obviously, there’s no true answer, and each team’s coaching philosophy would carry a ton of weight.
For this, though, we didn’t worry about the 3-4 or 4-3 or anything scheme-specific. It came down to ability and age, and here is the big board with the top 10 players (non-quarterbacks) who would be best fit to start a franchise.
