Carrie Underwood Spared As Canucks Green Man Torments Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman in Nashville

The country music capital of the world is having itself a little hockey hoedown this spring, as the Nashville Predators have given its city dwellers reason to congregate and celebrate at a place other than the Grand Ole Opry.

Although down 3-1 in the Western Conference semifinals to the Canucks, the Preds have already set a franchise record by making it out of the first round. Being there with them every step of the way, have been their passionate fans — some of which are more famous than others.

Carrie Underwood has been spotted in the stands on a near-nightly basis, cheering on hubby Mike Fisher. At Game 4 against Vancouver, country music star Keith Urban and wife Nicole Kidman were spotted in the company of unfamiliar person in the country music scene: Green Man.

That’s right, the Canucks’ unofficial mascot allegedly made the trek to Tennessee to cheer on his ‘Nucks. The Gumby descendant managed to get a spot right near both Kidman and Urban. Underwood, however, was nowhere to be seen.

No word yet on if he broke his handstand rule.

Quote of the day

“The history is history. This is about this year and this opportunity. Seven wins doesn’t make you a hero. Eight wins in this town, in the playoffs, now you’re talking about real credibility as a franchise.”
