Reggie Bush Angers Followers With Lockout Tweet, Says It Was a Joke

The NFL lockout and athletes using Twitter are two of the hottest topics in sports lately. Well, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush managed to make news by combining the two in a rather thought-provoking way on Tuesday.

Bush angered many of his over 1.6 million followers when he tweeted that he’s making the most of the NFL lockout, and that he would normally be putting his body at risk “for nothing” at this point in the offseason.

Bush later said he was joking, but not before the outrage of his followers set in.

Bush’s Twitter attention has since switched over to ESPN’s Skip Bayless, who he debated multiple topics with via Twitter on Tuesday.

Bush responded to criticism from Bayless by challenging the analyst to a one-on-one, full-gear, full-contact challenge. Bush, who told Bayless to stop acting like he could do his job, said that he would give Bayless a game check if he were to win the challenge, whereas Bayless would have to appear on-screen in a dress and makeup if he lost.

Bayless told Bush that he’d debate him on any sports topic at the ESPN studio, and that he would meet him in Central Park for an eight-mile loop, followed by lifting weights. He continues to insist that there’s an open door policy when it comes to athletes debating him on the air.
