Boston Bruins Flags Replace Usual Pin Flags at Granite Links Golf Club for Stanley Cup Support

The Granite Links Golf Course in Quincy, Mass., has a unique 27-hole course layout with challenging approach shots throughout. On Monday, the approach shots added another unique dimension in light of the Stanley Cup Final.

Granite Links swapped out its regular pin flags for the Boston Bruins spoked B to support the B’s first trip to the Cup Final since 1990.

The connection between golf and hockey, particulary golf and the Bruins, comes from another member of the bear family. Jack “The Golden Bear” Nicklausremarkable comeback in the 1986 Masters warranted the “there’s life in the old Bear yet!” comment from CBS’ Verne Lundquist.
