Liverpool in Running With Arsenal to Land Scott Dann

As a cheaper alternative to Gary Cahill and Chris Samba, Liverpool is exploring the possibility of adding defender Scott Dann.

The 24-year-old is attracting attention from both Liverpool and Arsenal, who are both looking to bolster their backline. A native of Liverpool, Dann grew up watching The Reds and is a former season ticket holder.

Dann had surgery on his hamstring in January and missed the remainder of the season for Birmingham City, the club he has played for since 2009.
