Total Lunar Eclipse May Mean Stars Aligning for Bruins Like They Did for Red Sox in 2004

There is a total lunar eclipse set to occur on June 15, 2011. How is this pertinent information? Well, as diehard Boston sports fans will remind you, the lunar phenomenon also occurred on Oct. 27, 2004 — the day the Red Sox ended an 86-year drought by winning the 2004 World Series.

TheBostonChannel.com points out that the lunar eclipse won't be visible from North America, but it is supposed to last 100 minutes, the longest in 11 years.

As puck drop for Game 7 approaches, the tidbit may not mean much, but it's probably safe to assume B's fans will take any sort of solace they can find.
