Report: Chris Higgins, Canucks Agree to Two-Year, $1.9 Million Contract

Chris Higgins and the Canucks won't be parting ways this offseason.

Higgins signed a two-year deal worth $1.9 million, according to The Province. He notched five points in 14 games for the Canucks after being dealt to Vancouver from Florida this past season. The Long Island, New York native spent his first five seasons with the Canadiens before making stops in Calgary, New York (Rangers) and Florida this past season.

Higgins had 13 goals and 15 assists last season. His best year came during the 2007-08 season when he potted 27 goals and added 25 assists with the Habs.
