Paralyzed Rutgers Football Player Eric LeGrand to Join Team’s Radio Broadcasts

Eric LeGrand will be with his Rutgers football family this season, but it won't be on the gridiron. Instead, he'll be giving his expert analysis over the airwaves.

LeGrand, who was paralyzed from the shoulders down during a game last season, will join the Rutgers' radio network for the upcoming season, according to NJ.com. Scarlet Knights head coach Greg Schiano announced the addition on Tuesday.

"I think it's really cool," Schiano said. "He's going to do post [game], pre [game] and halftime. So we're going to get our E-rock report."

The 20-year-old LeGrand will get his first crack at the new job on Thursday night when Rutgers kicks off its season by hosting North Carolina Central.
