Report: Former Red Sox Outfielder Carl Everett Arrested in Texas on ‘Family Violence’ Charges
According to the report, Everett was taken into custody from his home around 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 2.
Details are unclear at this point but KDFW is reporting that Everett is charged with "assaulting and injuring a family member."
Red Sox fans will remember Everett for his fiery demeanor in his time with the Red Sox from 2000 to 2001, during which he batted .281 with 48 home runs and 166 RBIs in two seasons.
Everett was also arrested earlier this year on assault charges.
