FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots right tackle Sebastian Vollmer will be back in the mix Sunday, and head coach Bill Belichick alluded to the likelihood of using a three-man rotation at tackle.

Vollmer missed the season opener due to a back ailment, but he has practiced all week and should be ready to go against the Chargers. Rookie first-round pick Nate Solder played well in Vollmer's absence.

Things could obviously change, but the most likely scenario would have Matt Light starting at left tackle and Vollmer at right tackle. Vollmer and Solder can each play on both sides of the line, which could lead to the rotation.

"Everybody has got to play at every position, and you've got to be ready to play at any given time," Vollmer said.

Predictably, the third-year tackle wouldn't offer any details about his back.

"I'm only looking forward," Vollmer said Friday. "It's day to day. We'll see what happens."
