Though he is only 22 years old, P.K. Subban has attracted attention from Canadiens fans who insist the young blueliner could be the best at his position in a few years. His high-octane playing style has already made him a rock star in Montreal, often attracting crowds of people on city streets.
So with all his appeal, it would make sense to put Subban in a commercial featuring him grilling and eating chicken at a barbecue, right?
Apparently Nike thought so, as the Habs defenseman appears in the company's latest "Always On" ad campaign. The three-minute video shows Subban signing autographs for fans on the street, skating and training on the ice and, for some strange reason, chowing down at a friend's outdoor BBQ. As is customary with all riveting shots of athletes eating, the video is in slow motion and set to music by Saukrates, a Canadian hip-hop artist.
