Roberto Luongo Unveils New Johnny Canuck Mask Design, Jokes It’s ‘Late’ Like His Game

Even Roberto Luongo must get tired of pumping his own tires.

The Canucks goalie unveiled his new mask design to the world on Thursday, but not before having a little fun at his own expense.

"It's a couple weeks late, like my game," Luongo joked to the assembled media in Vancouver.

The new mask features a cartoon Johnny Canuck on top with "Vancouver" and "Canucks" written on the side. And apparently Luongo was in a funny mood when asked about his play so far this season.

"I'm going to get on top and look back down the road from now and I'll be laughing," Luongo proclaimed.
