Stewart Downing, Glen Johnson Headline Liverpool Contingent for Upcoming International Games

Liverpool duo Stewart Downing and Glen Johnson were named in the latest England squad by manager Fabio Capello. They lead a healthy contingent of Liverpool players that will represent their countries over the next 10 days.

England will play friendlies against Spain (Saturday) and Sweden (Nov. 15). Johnson and Downing should play some role in one or both games. 

Goalkeeper Pepe Reina was included in Spain's squad for its friendlies against England and Costa Rica. José Enrique was no selected by the reigning world and European champions, despite his stellar play at left back for the Reds.

Dirk Kuyt will use his boundless energy for the good of the orange, when the Netherlands plays friendlies against Switzerland and Germany. 

Charlie Adam was picked by Scotland manager Craig Levein, but the midfielder withdrew from the upcoming friendly at Cyprus with a knee complaint.

Lucas Leiva will don the famous yellow shirt for Brazil in its upcoming friendlies against Gabon and Egypt.

Luis Suarez and Sebastian Coates will feature for Uruguay in Friday's World Cup qualifier against Chile. They will then face Italy in Rome on Nov. 15.

Craig Bellamy was named in the Wales squad that will face Norway in a friendly on Saturday.

On-loan midfielder Alberto Aquilani will play for Italy against Poland on Friday and Uruguay on Nov. 15. 

Four Liverpool players have been named in the England U21 squad for European Championship qualifiers against Iceland and Belgium. Jordan Henderson, Martin Kelly, Jon Flanagan and on-loan midfielder Jonjo Shelvey were included in Stuart Pearce's squad.
