Thierry Henry Returns to Arsenal for Offseason Training After Completing Season With New York Red Bulls

Thierry Henry knows he can always go home when he needs a good run. The New York Red Bulls forward is spending part of his offseason training with the Gunners, Arsenal.com reports.

Henry and the Red Bulls crashed out of the Major League Soccer playoffs when they lost to the Los Angeles Galaxy on Nov. 4. The 2011 MLS campaign concludes Sunday with the MLS Cup between Los Angeles and the Houston Dynamo, and the 2012 season will not start until March. The long layoff leaves players like Henry looking for ways to maintain their fitness until preseason training begins.

Henry did got some rest then returned to Europe, where he “just turned up and practiced,” according to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

Henry is always welcome at Arsenal. He led the Gunners to glory from 1999-2007. He appeared in 370 games and scored a club record 226 goals.
