The team’s closer isn’t set, the starting rotation is in flux and Jason Varitek‘s future is still uncertain, to name a few issues.

On Friday, the Red Sox manager took some time out of his day to chat with Red Sox fans and address those topics and more in a candid #AskTheSox Twitter chat set up by the team.

Valentine also discussed how excited the players are for the upcoming season, Mark Melancon‘s future in the Red Sox bullpen and even touched on his culinary aspirations in Boston.
