Milan Lucic and Dennis Seidenberg spent much of their summer partying and celebrating. That is, after all, what you do when you win the Stanley Cup.
Surely that must have been part of the motivation for Maxim Magazine to give the Bruins duo $848 to spend on a day in Boston, hoping for them to go wild on the town, right? If that was the hope, they certainly didn't get what they bargained for.
In the December issue of the men's magazine, there's a story about the B's being given the money by Maxim to spend however they pleased in the city.
Instead of running up a crazy bar tab at a local watering hole, Lucic and Seidenberg used the money to, what else? Give back.
The duo opened their day of spending by heading to Mike's Pastry in the North End. There, Lucic and Seidenberg took to the other side of the counter where they helped dole out treats for everyone — on them, of course.
It wouldn't be a party without a few adult beverages, though, as they then made a stop at Monica's. It was closed that day, but the owners made an exception for a couple of Bruins. Alas, drinks were on the house.
Seidenberg and Lucic finished their day with, of course, a Duckboat tour. According to Maxim, the guys picked 20 lucky fans at random to accompany them on their tour of the city.
Not a bad way to spend a day — and $848.
