Delonte West did not accompany the NBA champion Dallas Mavericks on their customary visit to the White House last week, leading to some confusion.
At first, West said he was banned due to 2009 weapons charges, but the Secret Service later said that West was never banned.
"It's going to be a shame the president isn't going to get a chance to meet me," West said.
