Tyler Seguin Convinces Brad Marchand to Join Twitter

Brad Marchand has been making a lot of noise in the past week as a result of his controversial hit on Sami Salo and the subsequent suspension. Now, thanks to teammate Tyler Seguin, Marchand can take his voice to a new medium — Twitter.

Seguin announced that his teammate has now joined the social network scene on his own account, asking the Twittersphere to follow Marchand's account, @Bmarch63.

At the time Seguin sent out the tweet, he noted that Marchand had yet to send one out himself. Since then, Marchand has tweeted twice — one tweet promoting Bru Tang Clan shirts at ilovebostonsports.com, and another one congratulating Seguin and fellow teammates Zdeno Chara and Tim Thomas on their All-Star Game selections.

Marchand's account has been quick to garner followers, as the popular Bruin has over 19,000 followers thus far. However, he's got some work to do if he wants to catch Seguin, who has over 88,000 followers.
