Alex Morgan to Wear 'Bodypaint' in Upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit IssueAlex Morgan was a breakout soccer star during the Women's World Cup, leading the U.S. team all the way to the World Cup final. Now, like teammate Hope Solo, Morgan is looking to become more than just a sports icon.

Morgan will appear in this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, according to Hot Clicks' Jimmy Traina. Morgan is one of three female athletes to pose for the issue, and the 22-year-old admitted that she didn't pose without dealing with her fair share of nerves.

"Posing in bodypaint was a little more intimidating [than playing Japan in the World Cup final]," Morgan told Traina. "It was a completely new experience and definitely took some getting used to before I felt comfortable in bodypaint. I had to look in the mirror every five minutes to make sure I actually had a swimsuit on."

While she doesn't suggest any other female athletes by name that should appear in the Swimsuit Issue, Morgan does go on to say if she could pick, she'd like to see Rafael Nadal, Blake Griffin or C.J. Wilson pose in the future.

The issue hits newsstands on Monday.
