NESN to Broadcast Tim Wakefield’s Retirement News Conference Live at 5 p.m.

Tim Wakefield has decided to call it quits, and he’ll make it official on Friday night.

Wakefield will announce his retirement from Fort Myers, Fla., on Friday at 5 p.m., and NESN will cover the news conference live.

Randy Scott and Jery Remy will kick off NESN’s coverage shortly before 5 p.m. NESN’s Tom Caron will also interview Wakefield following the news conference.
