Randy Moss Reportedly Willing to Sign Non-Guaranteed Contract

Randy Moss may have made his path back to the NFL a lot easier, if a recent report is true.

The former Vikings, Raiders, Patriots and Titans wide receiver is willing to sign a contract with no guaranteed money, Yahoo! Sports reports. Moss would take part in offseason programs, the source tells Jason Cole, and would be eligible for up to $10 million in salary and incentives if he makes the team.

If he’s out of shape, plays poorly or is simply Randy being Randy, the team could cut him with no financial penalty.

That’s a rarity for a player of Moss’ tenure and stature, but it could make him more enticing to teams worried about giving a mercurial, 35-year-old wide receiver another chance.

“I’m not all that interested because I like our wide receivers,” an unnamed NFC executive is quoted as saying. “But if the guy is willing to come in with no guarantees, just a make-good contract, I think that would make some teams more comfortable, no question.”

You know who likes low-risk, high-reward contracts? Patriots coach Bill Belichick. Just sayin’.
