Ryan Kalish ‘A Little Shaky’ Throwing for First Time Since Shoulder Surgery

FORT MYERS, Fla. -– Ryan Kalish took a significant step forward Wednesday in his rehab from left shoulder surgery. For the first time since his procedure, the outfielder tossed "20 to 30 throws" from 45 feet away.

"We're just feeling it out," Kalish said. "It's the first day. It was simple, nothing crazy. It's cool to do something, that's all I'm looking to do. It was a little shaky since it was the first day, but it's just a start to getting all back."

The 23-year-old noted that it was the first time in roughly six months that he had thrown a baseball.
