Jeremy Shockey Is the Saints Bounty Snitch, Hints Warren Sapp

Has the “Bountygate” snitch been revealed?

According to former NFL defensive lineman Warren Sapp, the Saints bounty snitch is tight end Jeremy Shockey, who played in New Orleans from 2008-10 before joining the Panthers in 2011.

Just moments later, however, CBS’ Mike Freeman (who first broke the “Bountygate” news) tweeted that Shockey was not the snitch, as seen below.

Late Wednesday, Sapp maintained it was Shockey, telling Rich Eisen that he “Was sitting in the production meeting getting ready for the day and my source informed me that Jeremy Shockey was the snitch initially. So I went with that. I trust my source unequivocally because he is right on top of the situation.”
