SWAT Team Member Rappels From Rafters to Drop Puck Before Minnesota Wild Game (Photo)

Ceremonial puck drops are nice. Someone walks out on a red carpet, the two players stand politely and then the guest drops the puck and the teams get ready for the game to start. Except sometimes a team decides to mix things up, and a guy drops from the rafters hanging upside down on a rappel line to do the honors.

That’s what happened before Thursday night’s Minnesota Wild game, when a St. Paul SWAT team member dropped the puck at center ice with a little special-forces flair.
