Report: Bobby Petrino Will Be Fired as Coach at Arkansas

Bobby Petrino's week of misery is about to get a little bit worse.

It looks like Petrino will not return as the head coach at the University of Arkansas, according to ESPN.com's Chris Low.

After suffering from a number of cuts and bruises following a motorcycle crash last week, Petrino's otherwise sterling reputation recently came into question. Petrino was found to be having an affair with an employee in the athletics department, recently revealed to be former Arkansas volleyball player Jessica Dorrell.

The injuries of both body and reputation were plenty to crush the talented coach's spirit and had him looking extremely grim during a recent press conference.

The 51-year-old head coach was placed on paid leave late last week by Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long after not revealing that Dorrell was riding with him at the time of the crash and for not disclosing their relationship.

Assistant head coach Taver Johnson had taken over the program while Petrino was on leave.

Petrino is 34-17 in four seasons with the Razorbacks, leading them to the Sugar Bowl in 2010 and to an 11-2 record and top-five ranking in the 2011 season.
