Avery Bradley Out for Game 5 Against Sixers, Dealing With Pain in Both Shoulders

Avery Bradley's injury woes appear to have worsened.

Celtics head coach Doc Rivers said before Monday's playoff game against the Philadelphia 76ers that Bradley is now experiencing pain in his right shoulder, too. He apparently hurt it while protecting his other arm.

The Celtics guard has been limited since dislocating his left shoulder several times, most recently in Friday's Game 4 against the Sixers in Philadelphia.

Bradley did not practice with the Celtics on Sunday or at Monday's shootaround, although he was on the floor.

"I don't know when," Rivers said of when Bradley can be expected to return. "The strength just won't return."

Bradley has battled shoulder issues throughout the playoffs. He left Game 3 of the Celtics' series with the 76ers before the half but returned to play the fourth quarter. In Game 5 in Philadelphia on Friday, though, his shoulder popped out again.

Bradley has been an integral part of the Celtics' defense throughout the season and took over a starting role when Ray Allen had to miss a few games as he dealt with bone spurs in his right ankle.

Allen has filled in while Bradley is out, but he's still experiencing pain and complications from his injuries, too.
