Part of the reason for that will be the simple fact that the Celtics lost Game 1 to the Miami Heat 93-79. Perhaps the bigger driving force will be something LeBron James did in the fourth quarter.
The Heat forward grabbed a rebound in the final quarter of Miami’s win before going back up for a second-chance shot. Garnett, who was beaten by James for the rebound, delivered a good, hard playoff foul to ensure James would not finish the second-chance opportunity.
Garnett succeeded in that, but it was James’ reaction that was the story. James just started laughing in front of Garnett, something that did not appear to make Garnett very happy at all.
