Adrian Gonzalez continues to bounce back from what was — for him — a slow start to the season.
He's hit safely in three of the last four games, compiling a .375 average with one homer (the 200th of his career) and three RBIs. On the season, he's now hitting .270 with a league-leading 22 doubles.
Darnell McDonald, recently activated from the disabled list, has also been hitting the ball relatively well as of late. Since his return, he's collected a hit in two out of the four games he's appeared in — both doubles — and scored three times.
In the other dugout, Ryan Zimmerman is the hottest everyday player the Nationals will send up to face Jon Lester on Sunday. He's currently riding a five-game hitting streak, during which he's batted .364 with five runs scored and three driven in.
Here are the hitting temperatures for the Red Sox and the Nationals for Sunday, June 10.
