Anthony Davis Trademarks ‘Very Unique’ Unibrow Look, Catchphrases

Anthony Davis says his unibrow is "very unique." You don't say.

The former Kentucky star, who is expected to go No. 1 in Thursday's NBA draft, has trademarked phrases associated with his one-brow look, including "fear the brow" and "raise the brow."

"I don't want anyone to try to grow a unibrow because of me and then try to make money off of it," Davis told CNBC.

Davis wasn't able to take advantage of his unibrow in moneymaking ways while at Kentucky due to NCAA eligibility rules, but plenty of other people were. The school was keeping up with people selling "brow" merchandise, CNBC reports, but eventually that got pretty hard as Davis' popularity exploded.

"We sent a half a dozen cease-and-desist letters," said Jason Schlafer, Kentucky's associate athletic director for marketing, according to CNBC. "But towards the end of the season, people were getting really creative."

Davis acknowledged that people regularly tell him to chop his brow in two, but he says he's become attached to it and the attention it brings.
