Kendall Marshall, Bradley Beal, Jared Sullinger Among Potentially Low-Risk Picks in 2012 NBA Draft

Most of the time, taking the “best available player” is not as simple as it sounds on draft day.

Whereas some teams may opt to go with the high-ceiling risks in the NBA Draft on June 28, others will go the safe route. In some cases, that involves the win-win scenario of a player who is capable of becoming a superstar and, at worst, just a star. In other cases, teams will need to go with the player who perhaps may fall short of stardom but is almost guaranteed of becoming a reliable rotation player for years to come.

Not that this should come as any shock, but Kentucky forward Anthony Davis is on this list. A few of the other names may be a bit more surprising.
