His team may have been down by quite a large margin late in the decisive Game 5 of the NBA Finals, but Scott Brooks retained his classiness all the same.
The Oklahoma City head coach delivered an impassioned speech in the huddle as his team was coming to grips with the reality that the Miami Heat were about to become the NBA champions. Along with telling Kevin Durant and company that they had nothing to be ashamed of, Brooks made clear the way he expected them to act when the final buzzer sounded.
"After this game, we're gonna walk and shake their hands, and acknowledge all of them," Brooks said, referring to the soon-to-be-victorious Heat. "They beat us fair and square."
