Chad Johnson Claims Then-Fiance Evelyn Withheld Sex During Terrible 2011 Season With Patriots

If you're a Patriots fan, you probably gave then-Chad Ochocinco the business all last season.

But you weren't the wide receiver's worst critic, according to the veteran wideout, who is now a member of the Miami Dolphins and the proud owner of a new (old) name.

In the first episode of Hard Knocks on Tuesday night on HBO, Johnson spoke about his 2011 season with the Patriots — a career-worst in which he bagged just 15 receptions for 267 yards and one touchdown.

"You think the critics are bad?" Johnson asked. "When I'm not doing well, [now wife Evelyn is] actually the worst critic of them all. I didn't have sex the entire season last year because of my play. Well, when I scored a touchdown, well, she allowed me to score. But after that I went back on cobweb mode."

But, in typical Ochocinco form, he explained his terrible campaign with a weak joke, saying, "I took a year off to give everybody else a chance to catch up."

"I drifted away from what got me where I was. I got comfortable," he added. "I felt [like] I arrived. Or I made it, I got it. It somewhat caught up to me, and I got exposed. One year. But so many people forget that I handled my business for a decade straight. You know how long that is to play up here? A decade. And I didn't just play it quietly — I told you what the [expletive] I was gonna do, and I went out there and did it."
