Oscar ‘Blade Runner’ Pistorius Hardly at Advantage Despite What Critics Say

South African sprinter Oscar Pistorius has drawn more attention than anyone else in the men's 400 meters at the Olympics, even though he didn't qualify for the final.

That's because, as you may have heard, Pistorius' legs are cut off at the knee, forcing him to compete with a pair of carbon fiber prosthetic legs. It's still unclear exactly how much of an advantage (or disadvantage) Pistorius is at compared to able-bodied runners, but there's no denying one thing: Pistorius' appearance at the Games is the embodiment of the Olympic spirit.

Pistorius will return to action on Thursday as a member of South Africa's 4×400-meter relay squad.
