The Cowboys owner is alleging that he didn't even see or hear about Monday night's Packers-Seahawks game until Tuesday morning.
"I didn't see that ending last night," Jones told KRLD-FM on Tuesday morning, according to ESPN.com. "I cut it off about halftime.
"I just read a little note in the paper that the Seahawks pulled it out."
Oh. OK.
Jones, one of the league's most influential owners, is seen as being at the forefront of a group of owners that has locked out the league's regular officials. The season's first three weeks have been a total mess in terms of officiating, but that sounds like something Jones is fine with.
He says that, while the group is supposedly working to get a deal done, he's not exactly upset at where the league is.
"We can have all kinds of what-ifs," he said in his radio interview. "We've played three games, and we've got 16 to play. It's exciting. It gives us a lot to talk about on our shows that we have. But fundamentally, when I look at where the league is over the first three ballgames, it's great. Lot of competition."
