It's always fun to see where players will say they went to school on their Sunday Night Football intros. Most players take the boring route and just say the name of their college. Miami products will usually say "The U," Randy Moss will typically say "Rand U," and some players name their high school.
Atari Bigby took another route. The Jamaican-born Chargers safety claimed he attended "University of Jah Rastafari" in a heavy Jamaican accent before Sunday's matchup with the Saints.
Bigby was born in Trelawny, Jamaica, but went to high school in Miami. The eight-year veteran actually played at the University of Central Florida.
With the Rastafarian movement so closely associated with the frequent use of cannabis and Bigby's squinty-eyed look, the NFL may be wise show up in San Diego on Monday for one of their "random" drug tests.
Apparently Bigby really is a Rastafarian. Mike Loyko from NEPatriotsDraft.com had this interesting bit of information about him:
Interesting fact about Atari Bigby..he is a rastafarian who chose not to go to the U because they would have made him cut his dreadlocks
