Report: Orioles-Yankees Game Has Better Overnight TV Rating Than Steelers-Titans Game

Your remote control was probably pretty busy on Thursday night with no shortage of viewing options to choose from.

There was the vice presidential debate. There was also a Thursday night football game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans. And there were also two American League divisional series games on at the same time.

While the VP debate caught the attention of most of the country, it was the national pastime of baseball — not football — that won the sports battle.

John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal tweeted the following on Friday morning.

It's also worth noting that the baseball game was on TBS, which is in more households than the football game, which could have been found on NFL Network.

Either way, it has to be looked at as at least a small victory for MLB, who has been on the short end of the ratings stick when matched up with the NFL.
