Rajon Rondo might end up being suspended for his actions on Wednesday night against Kris Humphries and the Nets, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a Celtics fan who will castigate the point guard for defending a teammate in the heat of battle.

Boston has always been a city willing to stand up for what it believes in, and that quality appears to have rubbed off on its sports teams.

Whether it’s the Celtics, Red Sox or Bruins, this past year has had its fair share of Boston’s brawling ways make it into the headlines. However, the local teams are far from the only ones willing to drop the gloves from time to time, and when looking back at all of the action from the last 12 months or so, there’s plenty of fighting action from all over to enjoy.
